Sivaramjani Thambisetty, DPhil Student, Faculty of Law, Exeter College, University of Oxford, Oxford England

Ms. Thambisetty holds an L.L.B from the National Law School of India University and is a Doctorate of Philosophy Student, Faculty of Law, at Exeter College, University of Oxford. She has contributed to three books on the subject of Bioethics in India and Biotechnology for Development. Ms. Thambisetty has presented at the Bimal K Bachhawat Symposium on Genome Research Emerging Ethical, Legal Social and Economic Issues organized by the National Academy of Sciences of India, UNESCO, United Nations university and Third World Academy of Sciences. She has also presented at the International Bioethics Workshop and Seminar organized by the Eubios Ethics Institute and Tsukuba University, January 1997 as well at a national seminar on Ecorestoration and Sustainable Development organized by Environment Research Academy International. Her areas of interest include bioethics, intellectual property rights, and the Human Genome Project.
